Interactive Microsoft ‘Windows Azure’ ad for WIRED Magazine

This project was concepted and developed with Roxy Weisbard while working as an Interactive Art Director at Deutsch Inc. We worked in collaboration with WIRED Magazine to create this first-of-its-kind interactive ad for their iPad app.

Windows Azure was designed to let creative developers work their magic in the cloud. So we created advertising coders could actually hack into.

Turn the tablet on its side, and the actual code that powers the iPad ad is revealed allowing users to change all the visual elements of the ad by changing the HTML 5 code. Users can customize their own ads by changing the background, the photography, the typography, etc. The message: there’s no limit to what you can do when you develop your cloud apps using the Windows Azure platform.

It has since been recognized by the London International Awards, The One Show, The FWA, and The Webby Awards.
